ABOUT THE SERVICE

What is children's podiatry?

Children's feet develop rapidly, and early movement patterns can influence posture, coordination, and comfort during play and sports.

A paediatric assessment evaluates foot posture, joint mobility, leg alignment, and walking style in a warm, reassuring environment.

We help parents understand what is normal growth and address genuine structural or skin concerns early.

WHEN IT MAY HELP

When should parents consider a paediatric foot check?

Consider booking if your child displays:

  • Frequent tripping, clumsiness, or fatigue during walking
  • Complaints of heel or arch pain after activity
  • In-toeing ('pigeon toes') or out-toeing gait
  • Flat feet that remain stiff or painful
  • Painful ingrown toenails or plantar verrucas

Many gait variations resolve naturally with growth.

An assessment gives parents peace of mind and timely guidance.
